Lodges
The BERGENDAL Eco & Cultural River Resort offers a memorable stay to every guest, with 45 authentic yet
stylish lodges in which to relax in exceptional comfort after a day of enjoying all that BERGENDAL has to
offer.
Guests will be pleasantly surprised by the genuine tropical charm, the unique architectural structure and
the aesthetically pleasing balance between natural materials and modern elements, incorporated into
each of the lodges and other facilities at the resort. Beautiful ground level lodges offer wide open views of
the tropical landscape and Suriname River while our magnificent pillared lodges positioned high against
the mountain slope, offer a bird’s eye view of the rich canopy and tropical surroundings.
All lodges are equipped with air-conditioning, modern bathroom facilities with hot and cold running
water, tastefully decorated sleeping quarters and comfortable sitting areas, and spacious open balconies
with spectacular views of nature.

Spacious one room lodges containing two queen sized beds. The separate living space is comfortably
appointed with stylish furnishings and a convertible sleeper sofa Type A lodges are ideal for couples, small
groups of friends or small families. Type A lodges can accommodate a maximum of 4 adults and two
children under the age of three.
B Lodge
Spacious two room lodges. The comfortable sleeping quarters contain one king size bed. The separate
living space is comfortably appointed with stylish furnishings and a convertible sleeper sofa. Type B
lodges are the perfect choice for couples and small families. Type B lodges can accommodate a maximum
of 2 adults and two children under the age of three.
C Lodge
Our smaller lodge is perfect for individuals or couples, available with one Queen size bed. C lodges also
include a comfortable seating area with a convertible sleeper sofa. Type C lodges can accommodate a
maximum of 2 adults and two children under the age of three.
Adventure Center
The BERGENDAL Adventure Centre is the ideal location for travellers in search of a fun-filled, physically
active one day excursion in awe inspiring nature rich surroundings. From adrenaline raising activities such
as the exiting Canopy Zip lines and challenging mountain bike trails, to bird watching and kayak
excursions, the BERGENDAL Adventure Centre is a guaranteed unforgettable experience for visitors young
and old.
Restaurant
Our fine restaurant is centrally located near the reception area and the pool area and provides a
panoramic view of the Suriname River. To maximize your dining experience, your encounter with the
beauty of the natural surroundings is continued by the open and airy design of the restaurant. Add to this
the tasteful tropical decor, luxurious tableware and linens and most importantly a mouth-watering cuisine,
and we once again manage to bring you the perfect fusion of all elements that make BERGENDAL a truly

Swimming Pool
Our beautiful infinity edged pool and surrounding terrace provides relaxing sun and water filled
enjoyment to guest’s young and old. Beautifully located right alongside the bank of the Suriname River,
our pool terrace provides a unique tropical Caribbean ambience and a spectacular water dominated view
extending almost seamlessly from the blue expanse of the pool’s water into the softly rippling waters of
the Suriname River.
