The tour starts in Paramaribo where you will depart for a 3-hour trip by bus to Nickerie. On the way, you will enjoy interesting sights such as the bridge over the Coppename river and the State Oil Company, “Staatsolie”. You will stay in Residence Inn Nickerie, a 3-star hotel that offers you all necessary comforts. After check-in, a short City Tour through Nieuw Nickerie. The following day, you will make a trip by boat to nature reserve Bigi Pan, well known for its abundance of birds and fish. Almost 122 different types of birds have already been spotted in the Bigi Pan of which 72 exist in the area the whole year round. Amongst others, the red ibis, the fish-hawk, the stems and the stiltwalkers. Bigi Pan is a special place of interest for everyone and is an ideal spot for birdwatchers. Afterwards, return trip to Paramaribo.

Return in Paramaribo, the following day, at 17.00 hrs.
The bus trip to Nickerie, through the districts Saramacca and Coronie, takes approx. 3 hours. On the way, the guide
gives information about the history of the area and interesting sites. After check-in, in the comfortable Hotel Residence
Inn Nickerie, the guide takes you along a city tour through Nieuw Nickerie.

In the morning, you visit nature area Bigi Pan. From there you continue the trip by boat to the heart of this beautifull
and unique nature area. On the way you can admire the red ibises and numerous other rare birds. After lunch,
served in a typically Surinamese restaurant, you return to Paramaribo.
